| Season 9 |
| 1. | The One Where No One Proposes | The gang's ninth---and, by most accounts, final---season begins mere seconds after May's cliffhanger finale. With new mom Rachel thinking she's engaged to Joey and Ross en route to her hospital room to pop his own question, the stage is set for a who-proposed-exactly-what-to-Rachel showdown, which is made all the messier by Phoebe's misguided meddling. Once the truth comes out, though, Ross has a realization that is sure to spell trouble for Mr. Tribbiani in the weeks to come. Meanwhile, Monica and Chandler are caught in a broom-closet romp by the worst person possible. |
| 2. | The One Where Emma Cries | Emma's crying jag has Rachel nearly hysterical herself; Joey's effort to apologize for his semi-proposal proves all-too painful for Ross and a sleep-deprived Chandler nods off in a staff meeting and wakes up with a nightmarish new job in Tulsa. |
| 3. | The One with the Pediatrician | Phoebe and Joey set up on a blind dates for each other. But things could go sour once Pheebs finds out how Joey met the guy she's so sweet on. Meanwhile, Rachel learns something very odd about Ross's medical history while researching pediatricians for baby Emma and Monica is torn between accepting the job offer of a lifetime and standing by her man as Chandler prepares to relocate to Tulsa. |
| 4. | The One With The Sharks | When Monica surprises Chandler in his Tulsa hotel room while on his new work assignment, she mistakenly frets that he has a sexual fetish about sharks while Joey meets an attractive woman whom he thinks he's romanced before -- but she doesn't seem to remember him. Elsewhere, Phoebe fears losing her latest boyfriend prospect -- and her self-doubts are only fueled by Ross' foolish comments. |
| 5. | The One with Phoebe's Birthday Dinner | Reservations for six at an upscale eatery end up on hold while the Bings engage in a bedroom battle over Chandler's return to smoking. Across town, Ross and Rachel are running late after their bickering over the baby gets them locked out of the apartment---with Emma still inside. As for Joey, he's waiting with Pheebs at the restaurant, but if their friends (and food) don't arrive soon, he may blow his top before the birthday girl can blow out her candles. |
| 6. | The One with the Male Nanny | Rachel finds Sandy, a touchy-feely male nanny whose winning ways with Emma wow Rachel and work Ross' nerves. But when he tries to fire the overly emotional au pair, it's Ross who winds up in tears. Meanwhile, Phoebe hits a romantic rough spot after she gives Mike a key to her apartment, and then locks lips with David the Scientist Guy, who has returned from Minsk to reclaim the girl he left behind. |
| 7. | The One with Ross's Inappropriate Song | Phoebe makes a lasting---and loathsome---impression on Mike's folks. Rachel and Ross tickle Emma's funny bone with a raunchy rap song and Chandler frets over the contents of a videotape he stole from Monica's ex's pad. |
| 8. | The One with Rachel's Other Sister | Last year, Brad Pitt ruffled their feathers; this year, Christina Applegate takes a seat at the sextet's table. She plays Rachel's critical little sister, Amy, who has finally shown up to meet her newborn niece. When Amy's dinner plans tank, Rachel foolishly invites her insult-slinging sibling to the Bings', where Amy starts an all-out war over which friend should be named Emma's legal guardian. Meanwhile, Monica is fit to be tied after Chandler suggests they use the "good china" and Joey's about to be fired for missing a Days of Our Lives parade appearance. |
| 9. | The One with Rachel's Phone Number | Joey fears that Monica has a new man after Chandler sneaks home to see his wife. Ross tries---and fails---to bond with Mike, while Rachel gives out her number a little too hastily during a night out with Phoebe. |
| 10. | The One with Christmas in Tulsa | The idea of not spending the holidays with his new wife leads Chandler to make a not-so-very merry career choice. |
| 11. | The One Where Rachel Goes Back To Work | Rachel discovers somebody has taken over her job responsiblities at work. Chandler finds a new profession. Phoebe tries her hand as an extra on Days of Our Lives. |
| 12. | The One with Phoebe's Rats | Gavin gives Rachel a very interesting birthday gift. Ross begs Joey to stay away from Emma's hot new nanny. Mike meets---and then murders---Phoebe's unusual pet. |
| 13. | The One Where Monica Sings | A night at Mike's piano bar gives Monica a very showy moment in the spotlight. Ross tries to move on after spying Rachel and Gavin's kiss; Chandler employs his secret skill to repair Joey's botched eyebrow-waxing job. |
| 14. | The One with the Blind Dates | To get Ross and Rachel back together, Joey and Phoebe find them dire blind-date options, including a loser from Monica's past. Meanwhile, the Bings try to balance baby-making with baby-sitting and nearly get busted when Emma up and disappears. |
| 15. | The One with the Mugging | Joey endures a draining audition at the hands of a pompous actor-director. Ross and Phoebe discover a secret link after being mugged together on the street and Chandler's advertising internship gets off to an impressive---and depressing---start. |
| 16. | The One with the Boob Job | Mike and Phoebe decide to live together, and she's thinking that it could be only the beginning. "Load up the Volvo," she says to Ross. "I want to be a soccer mom!" Meanwhile, Chandler and Monica are having money woes, so each goes to Joey to borrow money (without the other knowing, of course). And now that Emma's crawling, Rachel decides that it's time to baby-proof her apartment. |
| 17. | The One with the Memorial Service | Chandler's jokey entry on his and Ross's college Web site leads to a faux burial service for the allegedly dead---and obviously unpopular---Gellar. Joey refuses to give Emma his favorite stuffed animal. Phoebe begs Monica to help her avoid a post-breakup tryst with Mike. |
| 18. | The One with the Lottery | Overcome with lottery fever, the gang buys up a block of tickets, causing a division over the division of the potential Powerball winnings. Meanwhile, Chandler learns the fate of his internship at the ad agency. |
| 19. | The One with Rachel's Dream | Rachel has an unsettling dream involving Joey. Ross fills in for Monica on Chandler's weekend getaway. And Phoebe, guitar in hand, camps out in front of Monica's restaurant. |
| 20. | The One with the Soap Opera Party | This round, it's Aisha Tyler in a recurring role as Charlie, a paleontologist who sends Ross's heart racing. But when he brings his new associate to Joey's Days of Our Lives party, it looks like the soap star and the scientist share a certain chemistry as well. At the same time, two of Joey's hunky costars help Rachel forget about her romantic feelings for her roomie, while Chandler misses all the fun and faces the wrath of a man-hater during a one-woman show. |
| 21. | The One with the Fertility Test | Rachel runs into a familiar face during her free massage from one of Phoebe's corporate-chain foes, while the Bings try to run away from a frightening face at their doctor's office. Meanwhile, Ross tutors Joey on the ways to win over a brainiac like Charlie, who may have her mind set on another man. |
| 22. | The One with the Donor | Chandler eyes up---and icks out---a co-worker who could be the prime sperm donor for him and Monica. Phoebe runs into an her ex-boyfriend en route to a party where she plans to spite Mike. Rachel buddies up to Charlie after opening her big mouth about Joey and Ross secures a speaking gig in the tropics. |
| 23. | The One in Barbados | For keynote speaker Ross, it means a chance to steal time with Charlie, who offers to help rework his big speech and ends up reevaluating her romance with Joey. At the same time, Monica makes a frantic move to derail David's ill-advised proposal to Phoebe and Rachel gets an unexpected reaction when she tells Joey just how she feels about him. |
